What We Offer:
FM transmitters are available during Sunday & Wednesday services.(Headphones are not provided.)
Mentor support is provided as needed for children with special needs as they are included in their age-appropriate classrooms during the 9:30 a.m. service on Sundays.
Friendship Club Bible Study is held on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m from September through May for adults 18+ with developmental disabilities @ CCO. We meet on Zoom on the 1st & 3'rd Tuesdays.
Team In His Image allows individuals with disabilities to participate in a 5 K race by being pushed in a "racing chair" by an athlete. Families affected by disability can also borrow a racing chair for at home use.( Races are currently on hold.)
Training sessions to equip mentors to support kids, youth, & adult with special needs are held regularly.
All mentors are thoroughly screened including a background check.
A respite event SPA DAY for foster & special needs moms is held annually. In lieu of Spa Day in 2020 & 2021, we delivered gift bags to 30 of our special needs moms.
We delivered Father's Day gift bags to 10 special needs dads in June.
At least one family per year is given a scholarship to a Joni & Friends Family Retreat.
